Program Philosophy
The Clavet Minor Hockey Association provides hockey programs that promote the importance and understanding of work ethic, good sportsmanship, discipline, team work and the fair treatment of others under all circumstances and all conditions. Minor hockey is developmental hockey. Our objective is to provide athletes at all levels with the instruction and the opportunity to develop their hockey skills (skating, puckhandling, passing, shooting, goaltending) and their hockey smarts (team play, positioning, offensive/defensive responsibilities, specific situation strategies) in a positive sport environment that builds and encourages teamwork, enthusiasm, hard work, and fun, both on and off the ice.
The Clavet Minor Hockey Association is affiliated with Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association as an Interlocking Center. Therefore all CMHA Tier II & III teams play in the SMHA leagues. All games are played in Saskatoon or Clavet.

Coaching
Our objective is to provide athletes with the instruction and the opportunity to develop their hockey skills (skating, puckhandling, passing, shooting, goaltending) and their hockey smarts (team play, positioning, offensive/defensive responsibilities, specific situation strategies) in a positive sport environment that builds and encourages teamwork, enthusiasm, hard work, and fun, both on and off the ice. CMHA recognizes that good programs must include good leadership and instruction. The coaching staffs bring experience and passion to the programs. New coaches are encouraged to pursue clinics and seminars to further develop their skill and knowledge. They are expected to bring innovative and dynamic instructional skills and methods to practices and games. Their conduct is held to the same high standard as that of the players, both on and off the ice. If you have any questions, please contact the CMHA executive
